Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Ak-Bashat, Moscow District, Chui Region.
Graduated from the Faculty of Geography of KSU (1960), and completed postgraduate studies there (1967).
Worked as a teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, dean, head of department, and since 1994 - professor at the J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University.
Specialist in the field of geography and ecology.
Published more than 90 scientific works, including 2 monographs, 2 textbooks, and 3 study aids.
