
From 1961 to 1963, he studied at the A. M. Gorky Literary Institute under the USSR Union of Writers in Moscow.
He began his labor biography in 1950 as a pioneer leader at a seven-year school in his native village.
In 1951-1952, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. From 1952, he was in charge of the reading room in the village of Kyochu.
From 1954 to 1959, he worked as a literary employee at the editorial office of the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Pioneer," and from 1965 to 1976, he was the head of a department at the editorial office of the magazine "Zhash Leninchi." Since 1976, he has been the executive secretary of the children's magazine "Baichchekey."
He has been engaged in poetry since his youth. His first poetry collection "Meken enem" ("Motherland") was published in 1956. He mainly writes for children. In the republic, A. Kydyrov is known both as a satirical poet and a songwriter. Many melodies have been written to his verses, which are very popular.
He has translated works of R. Gamzatov, K. Kuliyev, M. Tursun-Zade, and others into Kyrgyz.
He has been a member of the USSR Union of Writers since 1960.
He has been awarded medals for "Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "40 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "Veteran of Labor," two Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR, and an Honorary Certificate from the Central Committee of the Komsomol.
