
He began his labor biography in 1952 as a collective farmer, and from 1960 worked as a literary employee at the editorial office of the magazine "Ala-Too," from 1962— as a special correspondent for "Komsomolskaya Pravda" in Kyrgyzstan, from 1966— as the head of the department of party life at the newspaper "Mugalimder gazetasy," and from 1967— as a special correspondent for the newspaper "Trud" in Kyrgyzstan.
He started publishing in 1952. His first poetry collection "Too кызы" ("Girl from the Mountains") was published in 1959. He is the author of several poetry collections, novellas, short stories, and essays in his native language. The writer also created works in Russian, which were published by central and local publishers. Some of his works have been translated and published in Ukrainian, Kazakh, Uzbek, English, and Spanish.
He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1961 and a member of the USSR Writers' Union since 1960.
He was awarded the medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin."
He was elected as a people's juror of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz SSR (1962—1965).
