Prose writer, playwright Sadyr Sarygulov

Prose writer and playwright S. Sarygulov was born in the village of Bayetovo in the Ak-Tal district of the Naryn region in a family of civil servants.
In 1958, he graduated from the Toktogul Secondary School in Naryn, and in 1963, he graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature at the Przhevalsky Pedagogical Institute.
From 1963 to 1968, he worked as a teacher in schools in the Naryn region and at the pedagogical college in Naryn.
From 1968 to 1975, he worked as an editor and senior editor at the State Television and Radio Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR, and since 1975, he has been the editor of a department at the magazine "Chalkan".

He has been published since 1968. His first collection of satirical stories "Kyty-kyty" ("Tickle") was published in 1974. He is the author of several collections of satirical and humorous stories, multi-act comedies "Matches to You — in the Nose!", "Mad Bee", "Cunning Stump", and others, one-act plays, interludes, and humorous sketches. Individual works of the writer have been published in the magazine "Crocodile", in the press of brotherly republics, and are regularly broadcast on local radio.
He has been a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1984 and a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR since 1978.
