Prose writer, essayist, publicist Satkyn Sasykbaev Prose writer, essayist, publicist S. Sasykbaev was born on September 25, 1907, in the village of Karagaylyu-Bulak, now in the Kemin district of the Kyrgyz SSR, in a family of poor peasants.
During the events of 1916, he fled to China with refugees. In 1917, upon returning to his homeland, he worked as a laborer for wealthy landowners. After losing his parents, he was accepted into the Tokmak orphanage in 1920. There he learned to read and write, and from 1924 he became one of the first rural correspondents for the newspaper "Erkin-Too."

From 1925 to 1930, he studied at the Kyrgyz Pedagogical Technical School.
From 1930 to 1955, he worked as a literary employee, responsible secretary, and deputy editor of the newspaper "Kyzyl Kyrgyzstan."
The writer's literary career began with the publication of his first story "A Thousand Beauties" in 1928. His first book was the story "Kichinekey Jumushchu" ("Little Worker"), published in 1932. He is the author of three poetry collections but primarily creates prose works. In his novels, novellas, numerous short stories, essays, and journalistic articles, he reflected the formation of the working class in the republic and its creative labor. His novella "Fabrykanin Kyz" ("Daughter of the Factory"), published in 1955, is one of the first works in Kyrgyz literature to reflect the theme of labor.

He wrote a number of essays, stories, and reports on the construction of major hydro projects in Kyrgyzstan. In recent years, he created several works of a documentary-memoir nature. A significant part of the writer's work involves translation. He translated the novel "Kavalier Zolotoy Zvezdy" by S. Babaevsky (1953), the novella "Voyennaya Tayna" by A. Gaidar (1936), the novella
"Volokolamskoye Shosse" by A. Bek (1950), and works by S. Mikhalkov, Yu. Korolkov, I. Likstanov, S. Danilov, and others.
He was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR (1974).
A member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1938, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1936, and a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR since 1960.

He was awarded the Orders of the "Badge of Honor," Friendship of Peoples, medals for "Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "For Labor Distinction," "For Valiant Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," "Veteran of Labor," "30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "40 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," and honorary certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
