Prose Writer Akzholtoi Tekinaev Prose writer A. Tekinaev was born on January 20, 1942, in the village of Alchaluu, Chui region of the Kyrgyz SSR, in a family of a civil servant. In 1959, he graduated from high school in the village of Ak-Beshim, in 1964 he graduated from the philological faculty of KGU, and in 1971 he completed the Higher Party School in Alma-Ata.

In 1964, he was appointed head of the department of the Kemin District Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan. From 1966 to 1969, he worked as the responsible secretary of the newspaper "Emgek zharchysy" of the Kemin district. Since 1971, he has been the deputy editor of the regional newspaper "Naryn pravdasy," and since 1976, he has served as the head of the regional polygraphic publishing house of the Naryn region. Since 1985, he has been the editor of the newspaper of the Chui region "Leninskiy put."
He has been published since 1961. A. Tekinaev's first book was the collection of stories "Zhyldyzdar ech kayda ketpeit" ("The Stars Will Not Go Anywhere"), published in 1971.

He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1966, a member of the Writers' Union of the USSR since 1970, and a member of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan since 1986.
He was awarded the medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin."
He was elected a deputy of the Naryn Regional Council of People's Deputies (in 1978 and 1982).
