Poet, playwright Moldogazy Tokobaev Poet and playwright M. Tokobaev was born in 1905 and passed away on May 21, 1974, in the village of Toru-Aygyr, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region, in a peasant family of poor farmers. Having lost his parents at an early age, he was raised by relatives and from 1921, he lived in the Karakol orphanage. In 1926, he graduated from the Tyup Agricultural Technical School. From 1929 to 1931, he studied at the Communist University in Moscow.

From 1926 to 1929, he worked as the secretary of the Karakol and Naryn district committees of the Komsomol, from 1931 to 1933 as the secretary of the Kochkor district committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Kyrgyzstan, and from 1933, he served as the head of the political department of the Sakaldin MTS, later becoming the secretary of the Lenin district committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of the Jalal-Abad region. From 1936, he was the editor of the newspaper "Kyzyl Kyrgyzstan," from 1937 he was the director of the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic, and from 1941, he was the chairman of the Jalal-Abad regional executive committee. In 1941, he was elected as the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, and in 1943, he became the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR. In 1945, he was appointed the first secretary of the Talas regional committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Kyrgyzstan, in 1948 he became the head of the department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Kyrgyzstan, and in 1949, he was the chairman of the Radio Committee under the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR. From 1953 to 1957, he worked as the head of a department in the editorial office of the newspaper "Soviet Kyrgyzstan."

He began his creative biography in 1924 as a poet. His first poetry collection was published in 1931 in Moscow. In these works, the poet celebrates the new free life and calls for collective farm construction. In the 1940s, he created the poems "The Strength of a Hero Will Be Appreciated by the People" and "The Source of Labor," which glorify patriotism and the selfless creative work of the people. His works "Joyful Youth" and "Resounding Day," created in the 1950s, reflect the social and moral changes in the life of the Kyrgyz people and the youth's aspiration for knowledge. In 1947, a book titled "We Are Friends of Leningrad" was published in Russian.

The history of Kyrgyz national drama begins with M. Tokobaev's play "The Wretched Kakey," created in 1928.

A member of the CPSU since 1928 and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1938.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Medal for Labor Valor, and honorary certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
