Improvisational poet T. Tynybekov was born in the village of Tегене in the current Джакги-Джоль district of the Osh region in a peasant family.
In 1942, he graduated from seven grades in his native village and then attended two-month vocational training courses in Karaganda.
He began his labor biography as a miner in the mines of Karaganda. From 1946, he worked as a teacher in the primary school of the village of Kyzyl-Beyit and as the director of the House of Culture in the Jangi-Jol district. From 1949 until the end of his life, he worked as a soloist of the Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz State Philharmonic. For several years, he served as the literary secretary of the people's poet of Kyrgyzstan, Alymkul Usenbaev.
In 1948, T. Tynybekov met the famous akyn B. Alykulov, and later with Kalik Akiev, learning the art of improvisation from them.
He began publishing in 1947. His first poetry collection "Биринчи эмгек" ("First Labor") was published in 1954. He is the author of several collections of aitys, poems, songs, poems, fairy tales, and memoirs about his famous mentors.
He is a laureate of the VI World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow. Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR (1960).
He has been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1949 and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1953.
He was awarded the Order of the "Badge of Honor," medals for "Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "For Valiant Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1987, a secondary school in the village where the poet was born was named after him.
