Status: VU. It is a rare mosaic-distributed representative of the monotypic genus, ornamental plant. The specific area includes limited territories in deserts near Balkhash Lake (Kazakhstan), in Ketmen-Tyube Hollow (Kok-Kyya locality) at northern macro-slope and spurs of Chatkal Mountain Range and in western part of Fergana Mountain Range (southern piedmonts in basins of Maili-Sai and Dzhide-Sai Rivers).
