II International Festival of Opera Art named after the People's Artist of the USSR Bulat Minzhilkiyev, A Grand Celebration for All Fans of Classical Art


A grand, now traditional celebration for all fans of classical art will take place from October 4-11 at the Kyrgyz State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
The Second International Festival of Opera Art named after the People's Artist of the USSR Bulat Minzhilkiyev is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of his birth.
Participants of the Bishkek festival will include leading masters of the opera stage from Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The festival program will feature works from the world opera classics, the best and most beloved pieces by the audience.
The celebration will be opened by the host opera performances.
On October 4, the premiere of last year, W.-A. Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni," will be staged by Nurmatbek Polotov (conductor), Zhipara Ibraimova (director), and People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Bulasbek Sheraliyev (set designer).
The leading roles in the performance will be played by Daniyar Musaev (Don Giovanni), Oksana Shutova (Donna Anna), and Baktygul Bokoeva (Donna Elvira).
In the following days, the opera stage will be dedicated to guests. Leading soloists from the Moscow theater New Opera named after E. V. Kolobov and stars of the Mariinsky Theater, where Bulat Minzhilkiyev worked with great success in recent years, will perform the main roles in the operas of the great Giuseppe Verdi.
On October 6, the performance "Rigoletto" will feature laureates of prestigious international competitions: Andzhey Beletsky (Rigoletto), Anastasia Belukova (Gilda), and Alexey Tatartsev (Duke).
On October 8, in the opera "Il Trovatore," the deserved artist of Russia and the people's artist of Tatarstan Ahmed Agadi (Manrico), laureate of international competitions Irina Vasilieva (Leonora), deserved artist of Russia Alexander Hergalov (Count di Luna), deserved artist of Russia Olga Savova (Azucena), and laureate of international competitions Vladimir Felyauer (Ferrando) will shine on the Kyrgyz stage.
On October 10, in the opera "Aida," the following will participate: deserved artist of Russia and people's artist of Tatarstan Ahmed Agadi (Radames), laureate of international competitions Irina Vasilieva (Aida), people's artist of Russia Vladimir Vaneev (Amonasro), deserved artist of Russia Olga Savova (Amneris), deserved artist of Russia Evgeny Nikitin (Ramfis), and laureate of international competitions Vladimir Felyauer (King).
On October 11, the audience will meet the participants of the festival program from Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan in a grand gala concert. Works from foreign, Russian, and national classics will be performed.
Conductors during the festival will include Nurmatbek Polotov, deserved artist of Kyrgyzstan Rakhatebek Osmonaliev, and Medet Osmonov.

Bulat Abdullayevich Minzhilkiyev.

Born on April 23, 1940, in Frunze (according to other sources — in the village of Toru-Aigyr, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan).
After finishing high school, he entered the opera studio at the Kyrgyz State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev, and then was sent to the Tashkent State Conservatory, which he graduated from under the famous vocal teacher N. I. Kalinkova in 1966.
Since 1966, he has been a soloist at the Kyrgyz State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
From 1968 to 1971, he interned at "La Scala."
In the 1970s, he toured in leading opera theaters in Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, the GDR, Czechoslovakia, West Berlin, the FRG, Sweden, Syria, Jordan, Vietnam, Laos, Japan, and the DPRK.
In 1975, he participated in tours with the Bolshoi Theater in the USA at the "Metropolitan Opera" stage.
Since 1971, Minzhilkiyev began working at the Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts named after B. Beishenaliev in the solo singing department.
Since 1983, he served as the head of the department and professor.
He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 10th convocation.
Since 1992, he has been at the Mariinsky Theater.
He passed away on August 16, 1997, in St. Petersburg.
Bulat Abdullayevich was a deserved (1971) and people's artist of the Kyrgyz SSR (1973), and a people's artist of the USSR (1976). He was a laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR (1972) and the USSR (1976); State Prizes of the Kyrgyz SSR (1976) and the USSR (1985); International Vocal Competitions in Toulouse (2nd prize, 1971) and Young Opera Singers in Sofia (1st prize, 1973).

Laureate of the International Competition "Romanziada" (2006), laureate of the youth prize "Triumph" (2011).
In the singer's repertoire are the roles of Rosina ("The Barber of Seville" by G. Rossini), Lyudmila ("Ruslan and Lyudmila" by M.I. Glinka), Arminda ("The Imposter Gardener" by W.A. Mozart), the First Lady ("The Magic Flute" by W.A. Mozart), Adele ("Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss), Ksenia ("Boris Godunov" by M.P. Mussorgsky), Olympia ("The Tales of Hoffmann" by J. Andzhey Beletsky performs at the largest concert venues in Moscow, including the Moscow International House of Music, the P.I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, and the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Roza Nurkey (soprano).
Born in Arkalyk. In 2000, she graduated from the Almaty State Conservatory named after Kurmangazy with a degree in "Solo Singing" (class of Professor Sh. Abilov). From 2000 to 2014, she was a soloist at the National Opera and Ballet Theater named after K. Baisetova. In 2002, she completed an internship at the Kazakh National Academy of Music, where she later worked as a teacher. She also interned at the Pergolesi-Spontini Theater in Jesi (Italy, 2007).
Since 2014, she has been a soloist-intern with the opera troupe of the State Opera and Ballet Theater "Astana Opera".
