General Rules of the Competition

Dear participants, please note:

Amendments and additions to the rules for the international championship in pole acrobatic of the Kyrgyz Republic on November 15, 2015:

Applications must be submitted no later than October 30.

Categories breakdown:

Children "A" - 6-9 years

Children "B" - 10-13 years

Juniors - 14-16 years

Amateurs 1 up to 8 months (without dance and sports training!)

Dear participants, please pay attention to this point: if you have sports or dance training - welcome to the Amateurs 2 category!

Amateurs 2 from 8 months to 1.5 years (or participants with sports or dance experience)

Entry fee:

Children "A" and "B" – 1000 som.

Juniors, Amateurs, Professionals, and Duets – 1200 som.

Duration of performances:

Children "A", "B" - 2 min - 2:30 min

Juniors, Amateurs 1, Amateurs 2 – from 2:00 to 2:30.

Pole Artistic, Pole Acrobatic, Men - 3:30.

Women + 2:30.

Duets - 4:00 – 4:30.

Other additions:

Juniors who place (1st, 2nd, 3rd places!) in their category will move to the "Professional" category - Pole Artistic or Pole Acrobatic.

Free tickets are provided to one adult accompanying participants in the Children category, as well as to coaches of participants who registered in advance.

Participants under 18 must provide a waiver from parents or guardians.

For accreditation in the Children category, the application must indicate the full name of the accompanying adult.

Unauthorized persons are prohibited from being backstage.

After the application deadline, cancellation of participation is not possible. Changing the composition, props, or any other changes to the application is prohibited.

Attention: images with erotic undertones (cats, panthers, cabaret, vampires, etc.) are prohibited. Dance movements with erotic undertones (waves, caresses, flirting with the audience) are strictly prohibited!

For violation of the rules – disqualification of the participant without refund of the entry fee.
Main rules

1. A participant must be over 18 years old at the time of application (written consent from parents of underage children is required).

2. The international championship is open to individuals residing both in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and in other countries.

3. A participant must show identification upon arrival at the competition.

4. A participant must send the application to [email protected]

5. Participants pay their entry fee on the day of the interview at registration.

6. Participants must fully and honestly provide all requested information to the organizers.

7. A participant must not have medical contraindications to sports activities.

8. A participant may perform in several categories, having previously obtained permission from the organizers.

9. A participant must follow safety rules and comply with all recommendations from the judging panel during the competition.

10. A participant must comply with the requirements of the organizers and their representatives, following the rules and regulations during the competition.

11. Participants are prohibited from communicating with the judging panel during the Championship.

12. The winner must indicate the full title of the championship, category, place, and year of the event when using their title.

13. Organizers have the right to revoke a winner's title if their actions do not correspond to the title of the championship winner.

14. The winner must adhere to behavioral rules and may not use their title in any indecent or illegal projects that, in the opinion of the organizers, could bring disrepute, ridicule, or offend the image and reputation of the competition.

15. A participant has the right to withdraw from the performance due to health reasons;

16. Failure to appear at the championship results in a ban on participation in local, regional, and final competitions for 2 years. Exceptions are cases of force majeure.

17. In case of technical malfunctions with the music during the performance (unexpected music shutdown, recording malfunction, accelerated or slowed music playback), the participant may, at their discretion, continue the performance or perform again after the relevant issues are resolved.

18. A participant must appear for the awards ceremony in the form specified by the organizers at the time of registration.

19. It is prohibited to wipe hands on oneself and on the stage costume during the performance.

20. Judges reserve the right to disqualify a participant for violating the rule(s) at any time during the competition. Following the championship, the final results are published in the form of a summary table. In case of a disputed situation, the complete results table for a specific participant will be sent to them personally upon request.

21. Following the championship, the scores from the qualifying stages are not published.

22. Participants' scores are not commented on. General comments on the performance may be sent to the participant's coach upon special request.

23. Organizers do not provide services for the responsible storage of belongings.

24. One day before the competition and during the competition, the use of humidifiers, lotions, bronzers, creams, etc., is prohibited.

25. The use of grip-enhancing products (mighty grip; i-tac; magnesium, etc.) is allowed. All products used by the participant must be listed in the application.

26. A participant must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

27. Participants may join the audience at any time during the competition, provided it does not interfere with the participant on stage and the judges.

28. The dressing room may only be occupied by competition participants and individuals permitted by the organizing group.

29. Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, and using drugs are prohibited in the dressing room.

30. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

31. The judges' decision is final.

32. A participant caught violating the general rules may be disqualified from the competition or subjected to administrative penalties.

33. Organizers reserve the right to make changes to these rules no less than 15 days before the competition.

Static and spinning pole, diameter 40mm
Distance between poles 3 meters.
Height of poles 3.5 meters
If facing the audience, the static pole is on the left, and the spinning pole is on the right.
Floor covering - linoleum.

General requirements for the competition program

34. Children "A", "B" - 2 - 2:30.

Juniors, Amateurs 1, Amateurs 2 – from 2:00 to 2:30.

Women + 2:30.

Duets - 4:00 – 4:30.

35. Duration of the performance in the categories Pole Artistic, Pole Acrobatic, Men 3:30.

36. A participant during the performance must use both poles.

37. The use of props is allowed (except in the Children and Juniors categories), after prior agreement with the organizers. The props must be specified in the application.

38. The props used must meet the following requirements:
- The use of open flames and any pyrotechnic devices is prohibited.

- The use of liquids, bulk substances (water, colored liquids, liquid paints, confetti, bulk glitter, etc.) during the performance is prohibited.

- The use of breakable and sharp objects as props is prohibited.

- The use of animals, birds, reptiles, insects during the performance is prohibited.

39. Making sounds, singing during the performance is prohibited.

40. During the performance, it is prohibited to approach and communicate with the audience and attempt to engage them in the act. Caressing one's body and the pole with erotic undertones is prohibited; emphasizing intimate areas with gestures or movements; intentional touches of intimate areas are prohibited.

41. Offensive gestures towards members of the judging panel and the audience are prohibited.

42. Throughout the performance, from the beginning to the final position, the participant must remain on stage. Leaving the stage is prohibited.

43. Judges reserve the right to stop the performance at any time if they believe there is a risk to health or safety, or if the participant violates the rules.

44. All exercises in the performance must be understandable to the judging panel; similarity of elements to falls or failures is not allowed.

45. The duration of the performance must correspond to the length of the declared musical composition.


General requirements for the appearance of participants

46. The costume must be made of non-transparent fabric in intimate areas;

47. The costume must completely cover the underwear.

48. The costume must cover at least 80 percent of the buttocks and completely cover the groin, with a width of the gusset of at least 7 cm.

49. The upper part of the costume for girls must completely cover the chest and securely hold it.

50. Men must wear non-transparent pants, shorts, or shorts.

51. Clothing in areas that contact the pole must not be made of latex, leather, or other materials that improve grip on the pole.

52. The use of tights and stockings during the performance is prohibited.

53. The wearing of bodysuits and mesh bodysuits during the performance is prohibited.

54. The use of sharp details in costumes (spikes, glass, pins, needles, etc.) is prohibited.

55. The use of feathers in costumes is prohibited.

56. The use of sequins in costumes is prohibited.

57. The costume worn by the participant throughout the performance must fit the figure well.

58. The use of gloves is not allowed.

59. Earrings no longer than two centimeters are allowed. Chains, rings, bracelets, watches, brooches, piercings, and other jewelry are prohibited. Exceptions are hair accessories: hairpins, decorative pins, bobby pins, clips, rubber bands, hair clamps, and glue rhinestones for hair and body.

60. The wearing of biotattoos; henna designs; makeup; body art is allowed, provided that it does not soil the costume, the stage, and the pole.

61. Footwear requirements. A participant may perform barefoot, in slippers, ballet shoes, half-shoes, jazz shoes, ballroom shoes, zero shoes (with sole models 4000, 7000), sneakers, or folk shoes. The footwear must correspond to the performance. Boots are strictly prohibited.

62. Hairstyle and makeup must correspond to the style of the performance.

63. The participant's makeup and hairstyle must remain unchanged throughout the performance (it is prohibited to smudge makeup, apply it on stage, let hair down or put it up on stage, etc.).

64. The hairstyle must match the stage image, and the face must be open. Nail length may not exceed two centimeters from the fingertip.

65. It is allowed to remove parts of the costume, but after that, the costume must comply with the above requirements;

66. The participant's costume must be stage-appropriate.

67. Participants' clothing, including stage costumes, may not contain advertising.

General requirements for the musical composition

68. The use of live music in the performance is allowed with prior agreement with the organizers.

69. If a composition with lyrics in any language is used, the text must not contain: obscene expressions; expressions of indecent, offensive, or defamatory content towards third parties; it must not contain calls for violent change of the constitutional order, calls to incite racial and national hatred, mentions of terrorist acts, propaganda of drugs and unhealthy lifestyles; hints at sexual actions.

70. The music must have a cohesive and complete character (arrangement is allowed).

71. Incoherent connections of different musical fragments are not allowed.

72. Musical compositions must be submitted to the organizers on the day of the competition; the participant must have copies of the musical compositions on CD/flash drives.

73. The music provided by the participant must be of proper quality (it must play clearly, without background noise).

74. The musical composition chosen for the performance is not reserved for the participant.

75. Amateur video recording is allowed.

76. Posting professional videos in open sources such as "VKontakte," "Facebook," "YouTube," etc., is allowed.

77. Photos taken by the organizers will be posted in open sources.

78. The participant has no right to request compensation/reward for photos, negatives, and videos taken before, during, and after the competition.

79. The participant may be asked to give interviews to the media.

80. The participant can receive their photos in internet quality for personal use but may not transfer ownership rights to third parties.

81. All participants must be available for photo sessions during the competition.


Additions to the rules by categories.

Category Pole artistic women

Requirements for the competition program

1. The use of props is allowed.

2. The presence of one assistant on stage during the competition program is allowed, provided that they do not touch the pole or the participant. Backing dancers and singing along by the assistant are prohibited. Introducing the assistant and bringing them on stage for a bow is prohibited.

3. Components of the competition program:

3.1 The participant must perform at least 12 elements (with a hold of at least 3 seconds)

3.2 In their program, the participant must demonstrate elements on the pole from different groups, including elements demonstrating stretching; strength elements; jumping elements or drops, or flips; rotations.

3.3 The program must create a choreographic composition in which the participant reveals the declared image.

3.4 The program must include an artistic presentation, including gestures, facial expressions, and visual contact with the audience.

3.5 The external appearance of the participant must correspond to the declared image and contribute to its revelation.

4. Participants lose points for:

- falling (from the pole, to the floor)

- not performing the entry to the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not performing the exit from the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not meeting the required components of the program

- not using two poles

- using less than 70% of the height of at least one of the poles.

- repeating the same element (a repeat is considered an element with an identical entry, fixed position, exit; exceptions are ascents, descents)

- violating appearance regulations during the performance (if intimate areas are exposed - disqualification; if the costume, footwear, hairstyle, or makeup is soiled or damaged - point deduction)

- losing props during the performance (when working with props)

- making sounds (screams, moans, swearing) during the performance

- absence of a conclusion in the performance

- mismatch between the end of the music and the end of the performance

- leaving the stage during the performance

5. The final score is based on the ratio of technique/artistry/choreography 50/25/25

Requirements for the appearance of participants

1. It is allowed to remove parts of the costume, provided that after this the costume complies with the above rules.
2. It is allowed to perform with loose hair, provided that the hair does not interfere with work on the pole and does not constantly cover the participant's face. 3. Performing in a mask is allowed if the presence of the mask corresponds to the idea of the performance. If the mask completely covers the face and the participant does not remove it throughout the performance, there may be a reduction in the score for artistry.

Category Pole acrobatic women.

Requirements for the competition program:

1. The use of props is prohibited.
2. During the performance, only the participant may be on stage.
3. The participant may make no more than one detachment from the pole while simultaneously touching the floor for no more than 20 seconds. The starting and ending positions of the competition program must involve touching the pole.
4. Components of the competition program:

4.1 The participant must perform at least 15 elements (with a hold of at least 3 seconds) on the pole in their program. At least 6 elements must be performed on each of the proposed poles, of which at least 4 elements must be performed in one combination.

4.2 In their program, the participant must demonstrate elements on the pole from different groups, including elements demonstrating stretching; strength elements; jumping elements or drops, flips; rotations.

4.3 Most exercises must be performed in combinations.

4.5 The program must include a presentation, including gestures, facial expressions, and visual contact with the audience.

5. Participants lose points for:

- falling (from the pole, to the floor)

- not performing the entry to the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not performing the exit from the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not meeting the required components of the program

- not using two poles (if available, see p. 3.1)

- using less than 70% of the height of at least one of the poles.

- repeating the same element (a repeat is considered an element with an identical entry, fixed position, exit; exceptions are ascents, descents)

- additional detachment from the pole while simultaneously touching the floor

- detachment from the pole while simultaneously touching the floor for more than 20 seconds

- violating appearance regulations during the performance (if intimate areas are exposed - disqualification; if the costume, footwear, hairstyle, or makeup is soiled or damaged - point deduction)

- making sounds (screams, moans, swearing) during the performance

- absence of a conclusion in the performance

- mismatch between the end of the music and the end of the performance

- leaving the stage during the performance

6. The final score is based on the ratio of technique/artistry/choreography 80/10/10

Requirements for the appearance of participants
1. The costume may consist of a top, shorts, or a gymnastics swimsuit.
2. Footwear requirements. A participant may perform barefoot, in slippers, ballet shoes, or half-shoes.
3. It is prohibited to remove parts of the costume.
4. Hair must be styled in a bun or shell. If the participant has short hair, it must be neatly styled.
5. Hairstyle and decorative cosmetics must be neat and correspond to the style of the performance.
6. Only stud earrings, hairpins, decorative pins, bobby pins, clips, rubber bands, and glue rhinestones for hair are allowed as jewelry.
7. The wearing of body art is prohibited.


Category Pole artistic duets.

Requirements for the competition program:

1. The use of props is allowed.

2. The presence of one assistant on stage during the competition program is allowed, provided that they do not touch the pole or the participants. Backing dancers and singing along by the assistant are prohibited. Introducing the assistant and bringing them on stage for a bow is prohibited.

3. Components of the competition program:

3.1 Participants must perform at least 10 elements (with a hold of at least 3 seconds) on the pole in their program. At least 2 synchronized elements must be performed on each of the proposed poles. At least one combination of synchronized elements must be made on any of the poles and one synchronized combination on the floor. At least 4 supports must be performed. Participants must perform at least 2 supports in one combination on each of the poles.

3.2 In their program, participants must demonstrate elements on the pole from different groups, including elements demonstrating stretching; strength elements; jumping elements or drops, flips; rotations.

3.3 The program must create a choreographic composition in which the participants reveal the declared image.

3.4 The program must include an artistic presentation, including gestures, facial expressions, and visual contact with the audience.

3.5 The external appearance of the participants must correspond to the declared image and contribute to its revelation.

6. Participants lose points for:

- falling of at least one partner (from the pole, to the floor)

- not performing the entry to the exercise by at least one partner (on the pole, on the floor)

- not performing the exit from the exercise by at least one partner (on the pole, on the floor)

- not meeting the required components of the program

- repeating the same element (a repeat is considered an element with an identical entry, fixed position, exit; exceptions are ascents, descents)

- not using two poles (if available, see p. 3.1)

- using less than 70% of the height of at least one of the poles.

- violating appearance regulations during the performance by at least one partner (if intimate areas are exposed - disqualification; if the costume, footwear, hairstyle, or makeup is soiled or damaged - point deduction)

- losing props during the performance by at least one partner (when working with props)

- making sounds (screams, moans, swearing) during the performance by at least one partner

- absence of a conclusion in the performance

- mismatch between the end of the music and the end of the performance

- not using two poles (if available, see p. 3.1)

- using less than 70% of the height of at least one of the poles

- violating appearance regulations during the performance (if intimate areas are exposed - disqualification; if the costume, footwear, hairstyle, or makeup is soiled or damaged - point deduction)

- losing props during the performance (when working with props)

- making sounds (screams, moans, swearing) during the performance

- absence of a conclusion in the performance

- mismatch between the end of the music and the end of the performance

Requirements for the appearance of participants:

1. It is allowed to remove parts of the costume, provided that after this the costume complies with the "General requirements for the appearance of participants."
2. Footwear requirements. A participant may perform barefoot, in slippers, jazz shoes, or sneakers.
3. Hair must be neatly styled. Performing with long loose hair is allowed if such a hairstyle contributes to revealing the image.
4. Performing in a mask is allowed if the presence of the mask corresponds to the idea of the performance. If the mask completely covers the face and the participant does not remove it throughout the performance, there may be a reduction in the score for artistry.

Category *Amateurs*, Juniors, Children.

Requirements for the competition program:

1. The use of props is allowed (except in the Juniors and Children categories)
2. The presence of one assistant on stage during the competition program is allowed (except in the Juniors and Children categories) provided that they do not touch the pole or the participant. Backing dancers and singing along by the assistant are prohibited. Introducing the assistant and bringing them on stage for a bow is prohibited. When performing Juniors, the coach may be present on the floor.

3. Components of the competition program:

3.1 In their program, the participant must demonstrate elements on the pole from different groups, including elements demonstrating stretching; strength elements; jumping elements or drops, flips; rotations.

3.2 The program must create a choreographic composition in which the participant reveals the declared image.

3.3 The program must include an artistic presentation, including gestures, facial expressions, and visual contact with the audience.

3.4 The external appearance of the participant must correspond to the declared image and contribute to its revelation.

4. Participants lose points for:

- in the *Amateurs 1* category, one-handed spins and flags in a straight grip are prohibited.

- falling (from the pole, to the floor)

- not performing the entry to the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not performing the exit from the exercise (on the pole, on the floor)

- not meeting the required components of the program

- not using two poles

- repeating the same element (a repeat is considered an element with an identical entry, fixed position, exit; exceptions are ascents, descents)

- violating appearance regulations during the performance (if intimate areas are exposed - disqualification; if the costume, footwear, hairstyle, or makeup is soiled or damaged - point deduction)

- losing props during the performance (when working with props)

- making sounds (screams, moans, swearing) during the performance

- absence of a conclusion in the performance

- mismatch between the end of the music and the end of the performance

- leaving the stage during the performance

5. The final score is based on the ratio of technique/artistry/choreography 50/25/25

Requirements for the appearance of participants in the Amateurs 1, 2 categories:

1. It is allowed to remove parts of the costume, provided that after this the costume complies with the above rules.
2. It is allowed to perform with loose hair, provided that the hair does not interfere with work on the pole and does not constantly cover the participant's face.
3. Performing in a mask is allowed if the presence of the mask corresponds to the idea of the performance. If the mask completely covers the face and the participant does not remove it throughout the performance, there may be a reduction in the score for artistry.

Requirements for the appearance of participants in the Juniors, Children categories:

1. Removing parts of the costume is not allowed.

2. Hair must be styled (bun, braid, etc.) and not interfere with work on the pole. Performing with loose hair is not allowed.

3. Performing in a mask is not allowed.
