Inna Artemova's New Series of Paintings "Landscapes of the Future"
On August 9 at 15:00, the opening of the exhibition by the Berlin-based artist Inna Artemova will take place at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts.
The central theme of Inna Artemova's works is the idea of Utopia, which has been artistically embodied in her new series of paintings "Landscapes of the Future." The graphic works of this series will be presented at the exhibition of the same name in our museum.
In her works, the artist addresses the concepts of the ideal city of the utopian avant-garde of the 1960s, which she examines and reinterprets from a contemporary perspective. Some of these ideas have already become a reality.
Digitalization and artificial intelligence are rapidly changing our world. The utopia in which humans as producers will lose their significance is becoming increasingly real. Discourses such as universal basic income suggest that in the future, work will be performed only by machines and intelligent systems. Humans will then become unnecessary and useless to the economy.
In her paintings, Inna Artemova creates her own futuristic visions. These are utopian landscapes and spaces, reflections on future habitats and human relationships. The concept of utopia signifies a space of possibilities in human consciousness, where it is always necessary to answer the most important question anew: what will the city of the future look like?
