Summer and vacation season are approaching, which many Kyrgyzstanis spend at Issyk-Kul. KirTAG decided to find out who owns the most famous and expensive boarding houses and recreation centers on Issyk-Kul, which are unaffordable for most ordinary vacationers.
The recreation center "Kapriz" is located in the village of Baktyu-Dolonotu, 5 km beyond Cholpon-Ata. Currently, prices range from $55 to $170 per person, but they will significantly increase in the summer. The center is registered under the name of OsOO "Kapriz," with founders including citizens Elena Koneva and Alexander Kostin, as well as the State Property Fund (which owns 28.3% of the legal entity's shares). The center is managed by citizen Nadezhda Nikitina. According to some sources, former Prime Minister Igor Chudinov is one of the owners of this facility.
The recreation center "Karven. 4 Seasons" is located in the village of Sary-Oy, 9 km from Cholpon-Ata. In July-August, prices will range from $83 to $550 per person. The facility is registered under OsOO "Karven - Four Seasons," with founders including businessman Heinrich Balyan, citizens Viktor Kryltsov and Asel Shadieva. The head of the firm is Vyacheslav Saulin.
Additionally, it should be noted that among the founders of the parent OsOO "Karven Group," besides Heinrich Balyan, is former Minister of Energy and Industry Askarbek Shadiev.
The second resort property owned by this same group of companies is called "Karven Issyk-Kul." It is located in the village of Bulan-Sogottu, 20 km beyond Cholpon-Ata, but unlike its counterpart, it is registered as OsOO "Karven Club." The founders are Heinrich Balyan, Viktor Kryltsov, and Andrei and Alexander Romanov. The latter is the head of the company.
Another well-known recreation center, Talisman Village, located in the village of Bosteri, charges guests $90 per person, with summer prices rising to $110-$140. It is registered under OsOO "Talisman Village," with Ayzhan Chynybaeva as the founder and head — the owner of OsOO "Club Hotel."
The resort properties "Raduga Plus" (village of Sary-Oy, $180-$450 in July-August) and "Raduga West" (village of Kosh-Kol, $130-$360 in July-August) belong to OsOO "Trade and Industrial Holding Prom INVEST." The founders of the company are citizens Vyacheslav Khan, Kliment Työ, and Sergey Shin — the son of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Roman Shin.
The club-hotel Royal Beach operates in the village of Chok-Tal, 15 km from Cholpon-Ata. Prices range from $130 to $450 in July-August. The property is registered under OsOO "Royal Beach," with citizen Chynargul Sheralieva listed as the founder and head.
The most interesting composition of founders is at the recreation center "Ak-Maaral," with prices ranging from $120 to $450 in July-August. The resort is registered under OsOO "Lyazzat," which was created by another OsOO "Elite Village."
In turn, this firm has two founders: the Kyrgyz-Kazakh joint venture "KyrKazGaz" and OsOO "Altyn Tolkyn." The founder and owner of the latter company is the Kazakh LLP "KazMunayGaz-Service," which is state-owned.
