For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, the Indian dance troupe "Natya STEM Dance Kampni" presented their dance program. The concert took place in the Great Hall of the Toktogul Satylganov National Philharmonic, supported by the Embassy of India in the Kyrgyz Republic. The hall was full, which served as further proof that Indian culture is highly valued in our country.
The artists presented an original and quite new direction for the domestic audience: contemporary dance, which includes various styles and techniques. "Natya STEM" is known for its dynamic and lyrical performances that represent a unique balance of traditional and modern dance styles.
Before the dancers took the stage, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic, Jayant Khobragade Namderao, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
- First of all, I would like to thank the leadership of the National Philharmonic and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Indian culture is highly valued in Kyrgyzstan; it is very diverse and is not just "Bollywood." It has a history that spans five thousand years. Concerts featuring various performers and dancers from India are held quite frequently in Kyrgyzstan. However, today’s event can be considered historic, as it is the first time in the history of cultural relations between the two countries that a concert has taken place in such a prestigious and large hall, - noted the Ambassador.
The dances of the guests from India simply captivated the domestic audience. The people present in the hall could hardly take their eyes off the magical actions taking place on stage, as they combined elements of martial arts, hatha yoga, and contemporary dance styles.
