
The scientific congress took place from October 26 to 28 at Lomonosov Moscow State University. More than 700 scientists from 50 countries participated in its proceedings. The participants discussed issues of globalization, intergovernmental cooperation, and outlined the main goals for sustainable development of all countries in an era of economic and political instability.
Askar Akayev chaired a plenary session at the opening of the Congress and also presented three scientific reports. The topic of the first report was: "A New Economic Paradigm for Overcoming the Crisis and Ensuring Sustainable Development." In the second report, Academician Akayev discussed the results of work on developing a new energy-ecological strategy for the world.
The highlight of the 4th international congress "Globalistics - 2015" was the awarding of scientists who made an exceptional contribution to the development of a new theory of socio-economic development and computer modeling of global processes with the gold medal of Nobel Prize laureate Simon Kuznets. The medal recipients included Professors Yuri Yakovets (Russia), Gerhard Mensh (Germany), and Academician Askar Akayev (Kyrgyzstan).
