A total of 32 works were submitted to the competition. The jury members, professional writers, selected the best pieces. Ermek Turdubekov won first place with his stories "Web" and "The Untold Story." Maxim Tikhonov came in second with the work "Where Dreams Lead." Elena Troitskaya took third place with the story "The Music of Our Lives."
– The most interesting aspect of the work is placing a person with a modern consciousness in the times of World War II. The difference between this modern consciousness and that which was characteristic of Soviet people seventy years ago constitutes the uniqueness of the text and evokes interest while reading, – wrote jury member Anna Berseneva in her review of Turdubekov's work.
The organizers of the literary competition note that all winners will receive a year-long access to the reality show "Author Behind the Glass," where they will be able to communicate and exchange ideas with other writers. Those who took first place will additionally receive training "Blog for a Writer. Preparing for a Breakthrough!" With its help, they will be able to create their personal blog and start gaining their first experience in promoting their work on the Internet.
It should be noted that Ermek is currently studying in the 9th grade at Bishkek School-Gymnasium No. 64. His work "The Untold Story" can be found on the official website of the project "Your First Book."
