The country increased meat production by 3.6%, becoming the engine of growth for the agro-industrial sector of the union.
In the report of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), published for 2025, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the leader among EAEU countries in increasing meat production volumes. In the first three quarters of the current year, the republic produced 476.1 thousand tons of meat, which is 3.6% more compared to 2024.
For context, in Kazakhstan, the growth was 2.7%, while the overall growth across the union is more modest.
Experts note that Kyrgyzstan has managed to maintain high productivity in livestock and poultry farming, despite the overall rise in agricultural product prices in the EAEU, which strengthens its position in the regional agricultural market.
However, there is also a significant increase in meat prices within the republic itself.
