In the first two months of 2026, specialists from the plant quarantine laboratories in Kyrgyzstan carried out a significant amount of work aimed at checking agricultural products for harmful organisms. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, during this period, 2998 samples of plant products were submitted for examination. Of these, 2073 samples were selected from imported goods, 699 samples were from export batches, and the remaining samples were collected during planned surveys and individual requests.
Experts conducted 6997 various studies, and the results of laboratory control were encouraging: quarantine pests were not found in the tested materials. This indicates that the products meet high phytosanitary safety standards.
Laboratory examination is an important stage of control and includes checking for dangerous pests, plant diseases, weeds, and nematodes. Based on the research results, product owners receive official certificates of phytosanitary status. Laboratory specialists are also ready to provide consultations on plant protection methods and weed control. The agency notes that high product quality is a key condition for successful exports and reliable import control.
