A new warehouse for 200 tons of products has been built in the Bazar-Korgon district
A new warehouse for storing vegetables and fruits, located in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region, has passed a readiness inspection by Nurdin Dovletov, the head of the Department of Interaction with Regions and Land Resource Management of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic. The facility, situated in the territory of the Aigyr-Jal Saydikum rural area, is completed and ready for use.

This logistics center, covering an area of about 280 square meters, was built on municipal land as part of the CASA-1000 project, which supports local communities. The total construction cost exceeded 6.7 million soms, a significant portion of which was funded by the CASA-1000 project, while 104,000 soms were allocated from the local budget.

The warehouse has technical specifications that allow for the simultaneous storage of up to 200 tons of agricultural products. It consists of four separate sections, each capable of holding 50 tons. It is planned to store crops such as onions, carrots, cabbage, and sweet peppers, as well as fruits including apples and persimmons. Construction work was carried out since April 2024 by the contracting organization OsOO "Progress+S".

During his visit, Nurdin Dovletov discussed with local residents and entrepreneurs the prospects for the development of the agricultural sector in the region. It was also noted that a greenhouse farm specializing in organic farming is being developed based on the new warehouse. A representative of the ministry promised to convey all the proposals from farmers to the ministry's leadership for further support of local initiatives.
