The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has become the sole owner of the new trademark.
A combined trademark named "Ak Ilbirs" has been registered in Kyrgyzstan.
As reported by Urmat Sarypov, the chief specialist of the trademark examination department of the Ministry of Education and Innovation, the application for its registration was submitted on June 7, 2025.
"This mark represents a combined logo that includes both graphic and verbal components. It has been registered across all 45 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services, covering a wide range—from electronics to food products and various types of services," he noted.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is now the sole rights holder of this trademark, and only it has the authority to permit or prohibit its use by legal and physical entities.
"Now we have the opportunity to stop cases where goods imported from other countries are simply labeled as 'Made in KG' and resold. National registration gives us the tools to control this process within Kyrgyzstan," Sarypov added.
Currently, the registration of "Ak Ilbirs" is protected only under the national procedure. In order for the mark to have legal force outside the country and to protect against counterfeiting in international markets, registration under the international (Madrid) system is necessary, which is planned to be done in the near future," he concluded.
