Over the past five years, the number of serviced flights at OJSC "Manas International Airport" has increased by 5,623, or 21 percent.
This was announced today at the annual general meeting of the company's shareholders.
It was noted that in 2017, Manas Airport serviced 21,956 flights. This is an increase of 3,327 flights, or 11.6 percent, compared to 2016. The majority of these were international flights, totaling 21,006 flights. The volume of domestic flights amounted to 10,950 flights.
The largest share of the total air transportation volume consists of flights to Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Istanbul.
“Over the past five years, passenger traffic has increased by one and a half times. In 2017, 3,586,300 passengers passed through OJSC "Manas International Airport." Compared to 2016, this figure increased by 16.3 percent,” noted the chairman of the board, Emir Chukuev.
At the same time, 2.1 million passengers passed through Manas Airport, while 1.3 million passengers passed through Osh Airport. The indicators for cargo transportation also saw significant growth. In 2017, the company’s airports handled 30,900 tons of cargo. Compared to 2016, this figure increased by 21.9 percent.
