150 million soms received from the fight against corruption
As of today, 148 million soms have been deposited into the unified deposit account for funds from the fight against corruption.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the week, the Prosecutor General's Office transferred 39 million soms to the account. The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) initially contributed 95.9 million, and then another 13.3 million. Thus, the GKNB has transferred a total of 109.2 million soms from the fight against corruption.
“The very idea of opening such an account is good. It is correct. When resources were confiscated, it was unclear where this money would go afterward. But the account should be transparent to the public and journalists, so it is clear who the funds are coming from, for which criminal case, and possibly from which business entities. We would not want state agencies, in pursuit of numbers, to start terrorizing businesses,” commented the head of the Association of Markets, Trade Enterprises, and Services Sergey Ponomarev.
