The Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration proposed to South Korea to import beans from Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the ministry on July 30, 2014.

Minister Talaybek Aidaraliev met with the director of the South Korean FIT Association, Kim Sok Dong, and businessmen. During the meeting, issues related to the export of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to South Korea were discussed, in particular, the businessmen showed interest in Kyrgyz beans. They reported that a kilogram of beans in South Korea costs 6 dollars and few people are engaged in growing this crop.

In turn, T. Aidaraliev proposed to the Korean side to conclude a contract for the export of 80,000 tons of beans to South Korea at 3 dollars per kilogram annually. The businessmen promised to provide a definitive answer by September 2014.
