Former President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev received the gold medal of Nobel Prize laureate Simon Kuznets. This became known during the IV International Scientific Congress "Globalistics-2015," dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the UN, which took place in Moscow from October 26 to 28 at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The conference was dedicated to the issues of globalization and cooperation, as well as the scientific foundations and direction of sustainable development goals and enhancing the role of the UN. More than 700 scientists from 50 countries participated in the conference.
Askar Akayev opened the plenary session of the congress and presented three scientific reports at various sections of the event.
In addition to Akayev, professors Yuri Yakovets from Russia and Gerhard Mensh from Germany were also awarded.
The award is given to outstanding scientists who have contributed to the development of a new theory of socio-economic development.
