Here come the long-awaited pre-New Year days. Each of us is puzzled about what to give our loved ones. Fortunately, bright fairs are coming to the aid of all Bishkek residents, where one can purchase exclusive works and also inquire with the participants about what gift they believe could be the most original.
The day before, a large New Year gift fair took place in one of the shopping centers in the capital. Father Frost and the Snow Maiden were present at the event, giving advice and uplifting the spirits of all the guests. More than 70 large and small shops from across the city showcased their products, namely a wide range of handmade items, cosmetics, designer clothing, care products, jewelry, and accessories. In short, one could find gifts for every taste, age, and status here. The sweet addition to the fair was confectionery and desserts. Guests were particularly impressed by "Cookies from Anya," handmade. Fairy-tale lantern houses, monkeys, and Christmas trees, which are also incredibly delicious gingerbread cookies with icing, simply amazed the imagination.
- I make all this at home and want to admit that it is quite challenging. It is very meticulous work, but it is also very interesting and creative. But when I see how people react to my tasty creations, it brings me joy that I can bring them happiness. This hobby appeared after the birth of my child, - said Anna Khan.
Currently, monkeys—the main symbol of the upcoming year—are on sale. They are mainly made of plastic and porcelain, but the artisans have a special vision of what the symbol of 2016 should be.
- The crafts are made from salt dough, based on my special recipe, and then covered with acrylic paints and varnish, so they are harmless. They can hang at home and bring joy to the owners. This time, the theme of monkeys prevails in the works. I also present felt painted with acrylic paints. I believe that gifts should be original, kind, and warm, but most importantly, made by hand, because interesting presents can be created at home, - noted Evgenia Zhivaeva.
The works of all the artisans are incredibly original, and the guests of the exhibition had much to marvel at.
- We advise giving non-standard original gifts that will surely please. We have balls made of buttons that will decorate any New Year tree. We also offer mittens with candies and a bottle of wine in a beautiful cover as gifts, - said the masters of the "Drop of Happiness" author workshop.
There are only a few days left until the New Year, and dozens of fairs are being held in several places in the capital, so it’s time to go shopping.
