Kyrgyzstan Issues Warning Regarding Travel to Ebola-Affected Countries

Kyrgyzstan issued a warning regarding travel to countries affected by Ebola

On Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan published recommendations for tourists, which included a warning to its citizens asking them not to travel to West African countries affected by the Ebola outbreak, reported the Xinhua news agency.

For those planning to travel to Liberia and other African countries, the country's foreign ministry advised adhering to all sanitary regulations and minimizing contact with the local population.

The World Health Organization reported that since March, a total of 1,711 people have been infected with the Ebola virus in Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone, and that 932 people have already died due to the virus.

Liberia and Sierra Leone account for more than 60% of the fatalities.
