According to Reuters, earlier this week, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, during which he expressed Riyadh's views on the attacks and indicated the kingdom's readiness to participate in mediation to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

It is also reported that two Iranian sources confirmed a phone conversation between Saudi Arabia and Tehran, during which Riyadh called on Iran to cease its aggressive actions against Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Persian Gulf region.

Tehran, for its part, stated that its strikes are not aimed at the countries in the region, but at American military facilities located on their territory.

Iran also demanded the closure of American bases in the region and the cessation of intelligence sharing with Washington by some Gulf states, believing that this information is used to carry out attacks on Iran, according to one source.

It is worth recalling that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel began striking targets in Iran, including the capital Tehran, resulting in destruction and casualties among the civilian population. In response, Iran is attacking Israeli territories and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
