In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, law enforcement officers detained two teenagers suspected of bicycle thefts. This was reported by the press service of the city’s Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
A resident of the capital filed a complaint with the police, stating that on March 5 at 19:00, near one of the houses in the 7th microdistrict, his Giant bicycle was stolen by unknown individuals. The estimated value of the stolen item is about 40,000 soms.
As a result of the investigation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 "Theft" of the Criminal Code.
After conducting operational activities, officers of the Bishkek Criminal Investigation Department identified the suspects. They turned out to be teenagers: D.Z., born in 2008, and B.Z., born in 2007. One of the detainees was placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to the police, more than ten similar thefts have currently been identified in the city.
