Memorial and Cultural Complex "Kurmanjan Datka" Transferred to the State

The memorial and cultural complex "Kurmanjan-Datka" has been transferred to the state

On April 10, during a working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, the Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Damira Niyazalieva, visited the memorial and cultural complex "Kurmanjan-Datka," located in the village of Chon-Sary-Oy in the Issyk-Kul district of the Issyk-Kul region.

As reported by Vice Prime Minister Damira Niyazalieva, by a decision of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated November 28, 2014, the memorial and cultural complex "Kurmanjan-Datka" has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.

"Thus, the land plot of 15.64 hectares and the building of the complex, the construction of which is not yet completed, have been transferred to the state. It is now necessary to review the plan for the memorial and cultural complex "Kurmanjan-Datka" to get a clear picture of how much land is truly needed for the full development of the complex and how much money will be required to complete all the work," she said.

Then, Damira Niyazalieva visited a kindergarten, which is also located in the village of Chon-Sary-Oy.

During her visit to the kindergarten, its staff appealed to the Vice Prime Minister to consider the issue of its funding from the republic's budget.

"Regularly visiting the regions, I have encountered this problem before. Unfortunately, it is currently impossible to resolve this issue, as the budget for this year was approved in 2014, so this matter needs to be taken into account when developing the budget for 2016. At the same time, I know that this kindergarten has been idle since 2014. I have instructed the interagency group to develop a legal framework for transferring the funding of kindergartens to local authorities, so as to empower them with the appropriate authority," stated Vice Prime Minister Damira Niyazalieva.
