In the city of Bishkek, based on the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K. I. Skryabin, a water museum - aquatarium has been opened.
According to Evgenia Postnova, the national coordinator of the Global Environment Facility's small grants program in the Kyrgyz Republic, this museum has no analogs in Central Asia. It is filled with unique exhibits, equipment, and interactive stands. It is expected to become one of the notable cultural and tourist attractions of the capital.
The aim of the initiative is to create a demonstration platform for children and adults to study the unique properties of water, issues related to the inefficient use of water resources, as well as opportunities for using new "green" water-efficient technologies in homes and production.
