International class sports master in judo Meerim Momunova has received an invitation to participate in the ranking Grand Prix in judo, which will take place from June 12 to 14 in the capital of Hungary – Budapest. The trip is part of the preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games in 2016 and the World Judo Championship, which will be held at the end of August in Astana.
Meanwhile, according to Meerim, this trip depends on whether she can find sponsorship support.
“The trip is estimated to cost around 150,000 soms. This includes airfare, hotel accommodation, and meals. Before the competition in Budapest, all participants will also take part in a joint training camp in Ljubljana (Slovenia),” noted Meerim.
The Kyrgyz athlete, despite the lack of support, continues to actively prepare for the upcoming competitions.
“I appeal to everyone for financial support to participate in the judo competitions. I am ready to give 100 percent and fight for the prestige of the country,” says the 25-year-old athlete.
