President Almazbek Atambayev signed the law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On Advertising'." This was reported by the Information Policy Department of the President's Office. The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on April 9, 2015.
The law is adopted to support print media, regardless of the language in which they are published.
For these purposes, the adopted law adds an amendment to paragraph 3 of Article 5 of the Law "On Advertising," which provides for the dissemination of advertising in print media in the language in which the publication is issued, as well as, at the discretion of advertisers, in other languages.
The law comes into force 10 days after its official publication.
