– The creation of the First Children's Hospice is my initiative, – said IA the director of the fund, Dinara Aliaeva. – While working at the "Helping is Easy" fund with children suffering from cancer, I often encountered the fact that there are no standards for providing palliative care to children in Kyrgyzstan. There is no appropriate pain relief, and the staff of the department, even understanding that nothing more can be done, cannot convince parents that they will only prolong the child's suffering. Our hospice is designed for four children. There is a room for home care services, as well as a kitchen. Considering that neither the Ministry of Health nor the Bishkek mayor's office provided any assistance, the hospice was opened thanks to the support of a benefactor who is a member of the hospice's board of trustees, Gapar Isayev.
According to Dinara Aliaeva, funds for the salaries of hospice workers and operational expenses are planned to be obtained from private donations. She also noted that the hospice is not only for pediatric oncology patients. “Cancer patients make up only 20 percent of all patients at this medical institution,” emphasized the head of the "Helping is Easy" fund.
She also mentioned that the opening of the hospice will help address issues in the children's department of the National Oncology Center and other children's hospital departments where there are children who can no longer be cured. In the hospice, these children will receive professional care and pain relief, while their relatives will receive psychosocial assistance and support.
It should be noted that the first children's hospice in Bishkek exists thanks to charitable contributions received by the "Helping is Easy" fund. Anyone wishing to help in the work of the hospice can do so.

Reference IA:
A hospice is a medical institution for providing palliative care to terminally ill patients in the final stages of illness. In the CIS countries, hospice care is primarily provided to cancer patients with severe pain syndrome in the last stages of the disease. The hospice provides outpatient and inpatient care for patients. Outpatient care is provided at home by teams from the hospice's home care service. Inpatient care, depending on the needs of the patient and their family, is provided in conditions of round-the-clock, daytime, or nighttime stays in the hospital.
