– The participants of the meeting approved the draft decision of the EEC Council on the development of an action plan for the commission to prepare for the population census in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2020, – noted the EEC press service.
The press service also reported that the census plan will be formed to coordinate the informational and methodological interaction of the authorized bodies of the parties in the field of statistics. “At the same time, the Eurasian Economic Commission will not replace the activities of the governments of the member states in conducting the population census: decisions on conducting national censuses with the determination of specific dates and programs will be made by national governments.”
– In turn, the documents for the population census will be approved by the authorized bodies in the field of state statistics, which fully complies with national legislation on the census, – clarified the EEC press service.
