The conference on the support and preservation of the Russian language has concluded in Bishkek
For two days, specialists in the field of the Russian language and its teaching from Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian internet portal "Gramota.ru," and teachers from Central Asian countries discussed pressing issues regarding the preservation and development of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan, participated in discussions, and talked about the role of new technologies in teaching the Russian language and literature in schools and universities.

- During the conference, participants encountered questions in the field of language teaching methodology that arise everywhere, not only in Kyrgyzstan but also in Russia itself. First and foremost, there is a lack of textbooks, the remoteness of regions from cutting-edge scientific achievements, and a shortage of teachers, - said Ruslan Abdygulov, the conference organizer and head of the Moscow House in Bishkek. - However, we hope that sooner or later these problems will be resolved. I would like to note that two-thirds of the conference participants came from remote villages in Kyrgyzstan. Specialists from Russia tried to convey the latest news in the field of Russian language teaching, shared how to better organize engaging lessons, and how to spark students' interest in learning the Russian language.
According to Abdygulov, the teaching staff from Russia came not just to give lectures on Russian language teaching methodology, but primarily to engage in direct dialogue with teachers from schools and universities in Kyrgyzstan, to learn about the problems they face in their daily work, and to jointly understand how these issues can be resolved.

The program concluded with a round table on the topic: "Current Issues of Preserving and Supporting the Russian Language Abroad." At the end of the event, all conference participants were awarded relevant certificates.

According to the organizers, the program of the event was developed by the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow and is implemented by the State Unitary Enterprise of the Russian capital "Moscow Center for International Cooperation" and the educational and publishing center "Zlatoust," with the active support of the Cultural and Business Center "Moscow House" in Bishkek and the Society of Kyrgyz Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature.
