The annual ceremony 'Benefactor of the Year' took place in Kyrgyzstan
On February 18, a solemn ceremony for the presentation of the "Ak Jürük" ("Benefactor of the Year") award took place at the A. Maldybaev National Opera and Ballet Theater, traditionally organized by the charitable foundation "Aikeldik".

The founder of the foundation, public figure, and benefactor Askar Salymbekov addressed the gathered guests. In his welcoming speech, he spoke about the history of the award's establishment, its main goals, and the necessity for active continuation of charitable activities by representatives of the business community and benefactors.

Salymbekov particularly noted that today the public's main attention is focused on politicians, while the names of prominent benefactors continue to remain in the shadows. "It is necessary for the media to actively cover the charitable activities of benefactors in Kyrgyzstan. We have many of them; almost every district has its own benefactor who is concerned about the problems of ordinary citizens," said the public figure.

According to the results of 2015, the "Benefactor of the Year" award was bestowed upon 11 philanthropists from all regions of Kyrgyzstan who made significant voluntary contributions to various social programs. They helped build kindergartens, bridges, schools, mosques, and much more.

From the hands of prominent figures of the Kyrgyz Republic, the benefactors received statuettes of "Benefactor of the Year," certificates, and books. Additionally, the names of the award recipients will be immortalized with an inscription on a commemorative stone on the "Alley of Glory," established in Bishkek's Yu. Fuchik Park by the International Charitable Foundation "Aikeldik".
