Parents will be grateful to all caring Kyrgyz citizens who can help and support the child.
Little Sumaya Zakhidova needs our help. The girl has total retinal detachment in her right eye, corneal dystrophy, Coats' retinitis at the terminal stage, which has caused her to lose vision in one eye.

The child's parents have done everything they could. In 2016, Sumaya underwent treatment at a children's eye clinic in St. Petersburg. Surgery was performed. She was examined in the best clinics in China, Ufa, Kazan, Samara, Chelyabinsk, and Moscow, but her vision could not be restored. The right eye has completely lost its sight.
Now, Sumaya's parents face the task of preserving the vision of her left eye, as an MRI of the brain revealed organic lesions in it, aplasia of the right vertebral artery, hypoplasia of the right main artery and both internal carotid arteries, multiple foci of leukomalacia in the cerebral hemispheres, a focus of gliotic-cystic degeneration in the right thalamus as a result of hypoxic-ischemic damage to the brain, and a vascular malformation - AVM in the right frontal lobe, as well as atrophy of the right eyeball.
In order for Sumaya not to lose her vision, a phased and expensive treatment in Moscow is necessary. If therapy does not help, doctors recommend surgery.
The family of the 5-year-old girl has been managing to find funds on their own since 2016. But now they are forced to ask for help from caring people.
“In addition, a prosthesis for the right eye needs to be made so that it does not completely close. The disability pension of 4,000 soms is not even enough for eye drops for a week. We will be grateful to all those who can help and support Sumaya,” say the girl's parents.
