Vice Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Discuss Border Issues
Today, another joint meeting of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will take place in Bishkek to discuss the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. This was reported by the information support department of the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic on Tuesday.
The meeting will be chaired by Vice Prime Minister Abdyrahman Mamataliyev and his Tajik counterpart Murodali Alimardon.
On the eve of this meeting, another shootout occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. On August 9, there was also a shootout between a border patrol of the neighboring republic and three armed Kyrgyz citizens, resulting in the death of one citizen of Kyrgyzstan. On August 19, an incident occurred at the border with Uzbekistan, resulting in the death of a citizen of the neighboring country.
