Kyrgyzstani Antonina Shevchenko, like her sister Valentina, will compete in the UFC — the leading global mixed martial arts league.
On June 26 in Las Vegas (USA), the international tournament Dana White’s Contender Series took place. It was a qualifying event — the winners received a chance to sign a contract with the UFC.

Antonina Shevchenko won by technical knockout in the second round against American Jaime Lynn Nievera, who replaced the injured Silvana Juarez from Argentina. Thus, Antonina received a contract with the UFC and will compete in the same division as her sister Valentina. It is still unknown when the fighter from Kyrgyzstan will debut in the promotion.

Valentina Shevchenko has been competing in the UFC since the end of 2015. Now, together with Antonina, they have become the first sister fighters in this league.
