The audience of the World Nomad Games, which will take place in September at Issyk-Kul, may reach 500 million people. This was announced today at a press conference by the director of the tourism department and deputy minister of culture, information, and tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, Maksat Chakiev.
According to him, an organizing committee and a secretariat have been established to carry out all functions related to organizational and technical support and preparation for the competitions. All assigned tasks are being completed. The official opening of the games is scheduled for September 9. The ceremony will be technological, featuring 3D animation and a light show. “We are preparing speeches for officials and expect the president to speak,” said Maksat Chakiev.
It is noted that competitions in national sports will take place from September 10 to 13, with the official closing scheduled for September 14. There will also be demonstration games, and a yurt city will be organized. Additionally, two major festivals will be held: one focused on ethnography and the other on the national cuisine of the participating countries. An ethnographic exhibition of handicrafts and a showcase of national clothing in an ethno-fashion style will also be organized. “We are all looking forward to a rich and interesting program,” noted Maksat Chakiev.
In response to a question from a correspondent of IA "24.kg" about the advertising of the competitions and attracting fans, he said that advertising videos and an information campaign will start this week. From next week, videos will be launched not only on central television channels but also on the Internet. Separate stands will be allocated for fans, where anyone can come and watch the competitions for free from start to finish.
When asked by IA "24.kg" about the expected return from the games, Maksat Chakiev replied that they will be broadcast in 40 countries. The audience will comprise 200 million people. Negotiations with television companies from neighboring countries are nearing completion. An online broadcast will also be organized, added the deputy minister.
