- A house on wheels is like a small apartment that you can travel in. It has everything you need: sleeping places, a kitchen, a shower, a toilet, and lighting. In each country we pass through, there are partners who help us organize camping - a camp. We stop, go on excursions, relax, and then set off again.
- Who travels in motorhomes?
- Mostly, these are older people who can travel for six months: they are already well-off and don’t need to work. The average age of my group members is 60 years.
- How long have you been traveling and where have you been?
- Our tour is called "Silk Road" and has been going on for four months now. We left Riga, traveled through all of Russia, Mongolia, China, and now we have reached Kyrgyzstan. From here, we will head to Uzbekistan. In total, our route includes ten countries, most of which our tourists have never visited before. They get acquainted with new cultures, customs, and attractions. It’s completely different from flying on a plane. We pass through countries, learn how people live in cities and rural areas, see nature - it’s very interesting!
- What difficulties do you face on the road?
- We have been working in the tourism market for several years, so we don’t encounter significant problems. Except that sometimes the vehicles break down.
I would also like to note that crossing borders is a rather lengthy and tedious procedure. This is almost non-existent in Europe.
- Which places impressed the tourists the most?
- Among the attractions we visited, Lake Baikal was the most memorable. There are many interesting places in China. In Kyrgyzstan, we visited Issyk-Kul - a beautiful lake! Overall, the country left a very good impression on our tourists. Everyone really likes the local nature and climate. In a few days, we will head to Osh. I am sure that there our tourists will also discover many interesting things.
