Issyk-Kul entered the top five most visited resorts of the near abroad for Russians
Cholpon-Ata has entered the top five most visited resorts of the near abroad among Russians. The ranking was compiled by the online service Oktogo.ru based on hotel booking data for stays from August 1 to 31 of this year. The creators of the ranking note that they only considered tourists traveling independently, without the assistance of travel agencies.

According to the website, the most popular vacation spot among Russians in the near abroad is Batumi (Georgia). Following are (Abkhazia), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Sukhum (Abkhazia), and Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan). It was also noted that in the nomination for "most economical vacation," the capital of Abkhazia – Sukhum – won. One day of accommodation costs Russian tourists about 1,400 rubles.

In the ranking of the most budget-friendly cities in the near abroad, Bishkek took first place (1,200 rubles per day), while the most expensive was Baku – around 6,000 rubles. Accommodation in Minsk and Tbilisi costs about 3,000 rubles, while a vacation in Almaty costs Russian tourists 5,000 rubles per day.

The top 10 most popular cities in the near abroad include Minsk, Tbilisi, Almaty, Kyiv, Yerevan, Baku, Astana, Bishkek, Chisinau, and Tashkent. It is noted that Russian tourists traveling without the mediation of travel agencies stay in cities of the near abroad for about four days, while at resorts they stay for nine days.
