Naryn Regional Historical and Local Lore Museum

The Naryn Historical and Local Lore Museum is located in the city of Naryn, on Razzakov Street. This museum belongs to the 3rd category of museums in Kyrgyzstan, with a collection of about 2,000 items, of which the main collection consists of only 500 items.

The exhibits of the Naryn Historical and Local Lore Museum tell about the history of the region and showcase ancient examples of the unique culture of the Kyrgyz people. Among the museum's exhibits are kitchen utensils and dishes, agricultural tools used by local residents since ancient times, medieval household items from the caravanserai Tash-Rabat, and samples of weapons found by archaeologists in the ruins of the 7th-10th century fortress Koshoy-Korgon.

On the walls of the museum, you can see photographs of unique rock paintings from the stone gallery in the upper reaches of the Saymaluu-Tash valley, which are presumably dated to the second millennium BC.
