The advantage of the "ZIL" ski base is its proximity to Bishkek (35 km). It is located in a beautiful picturesque area at an altitude of 1850 m above sea level. Excellent access roads are a great convenience for vacationers. The "KENTOR" glacier is located five kilometers from the base, which can be easily reached by an all-terrain vehicle. The glacier is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level. In the near future, a cable car is planned to be installed on the "KENTOR" glacier, allowing skiing year-round.
Currently, the base operates five ski lifts:
• The first cable car is 1.3 km long and operates as a rope-tow lift.
• The second cable car is 1.5 km long and operates as a two-seater chairlift with heated seats.
• The third cable car is 1.4 km long, designed for confident skiers, and is operated by a "SNAIL" system lift.
• The fourth cable car is 1.2 km long, operated by a "SNAIL" system lift.
• The fifth lift is a 400-meter tow lift, intended for children and beginner skiers.

The base has a café with 100 seats, a café with 20 seats, and a third café located at an altitude of 2300 meters with 15 seats. There is a hotel complex with 19 rooms and a well-developed infrastructure. There is also a residential complex for the staff of the ski base.

The base is equipped with round-the-clock police security. There is a garage for equipment. The base has the following equipment: snow groomer, bulldozer, five-ton loader, MAZ dump truck, GAZ-66, GAZ-SAZ dump truck, Labo truck, Mercedes truck, YUMZ excavator, five T-16 tractors, Mitsubishi Limited jeep, Honda Odyssey jeep. A 10 kV power line is extended to 19 poles, with substations TP-577 (250 kVA), TP-936 (630 kVA), TP-936 (160 kVA), and TP-948 (160 kVA).
In case of a power outage, there is a 75 kW generator available. Significant work has also been done at the base to create artificial snow on the ski slope. High-pressure pipes have been laid at a depth of 1.2 m, and at an altitude of 2350 meters, there is a 150-ton water reservoir, as well as 43 hydrants for connecting snow cannons.
The "ZIL" ski base operates in the summer for two months — June and July. This is a popular time for kumys treatment in our Republic.
In case of emergency medical assistance, a qualified physician of the highest category, Timukhin Alexander Viktorovich, will arrive at the scene in minutes on a snowmobile and provide qualified medical assistance. If necessary, patients will be transported to the nearest hospital in Bishkek in an equipped vehicle.
All employees of the "ZIL" ski base are dressed in special uniforms that distinguish them from vacationers. All staff are equipped with multi-channel radios of the "KENWOOD" type and can provide any assistance at any time and quickly communicate with the radio station, from where any necessary information is announced over loudspeakers. The "ZIL" base also has its own security service.
Equipment Rental
The base offers a wide range of ski equipment rentals, from 350 som to 600 som. At the "Karion-ZiL" base, not only skiers and snowboarders but also freeride enthusiasts can satisfy their needs. Both groups will enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes. The uniqueness of the slopes is that they can accommodate everyone, from beginners to professionals. Instructors are provided for students with an individual approach and special equipment.
Transportation of vacationers to the "ZIL" ski base is carried out daily, but only by prior reservation. The management of the base considers it their sacred duty to work solely to meet the needs of each guest. There is excellent access for those who arrive by car, and there are 7 guarded parking lots that can accommodate up to 500 vehicles.
