Maps of Kyrgyzstan
Cartography is the discipline of studying, modeling, and displaying the spatial location, combination, and interrelationships of objects and phenomena in nature and society. It is an integral part of human existence and history. From cave paintings and maps of ancient Babylon, to maps of Greece and Asia, through the Age of Great Geographical Discoveries to the present day, humanity creates, develops, and uses maps to facilitate the determination of its own location and the continuation of its journey across the globe. According to certain experts, cartography represents a significant step forward in the intellectual education of the world's population. It is worth noting that cartography likely emerged even before the advent of writing in primitive societies. This is evidenced, for example, by the fact that peoples who did not possess writing at the time of its discovery had developed cartographic knowledge.
