Rules for using the services of Bishkek Bus Station

Bishkek Bus Station is a transport infrastructure facility designed to provide services to passengers and carriers during regular passenger and luggage transportation.

The Bishkek Bus Station operates around the clock.

Regular passenger and luggage transportation is carried out in accordance with the consolidated schedule posted on the first floor of the bus station building.

The Bishkek Bus Station includes the main building of the bus station and a technological zone for transport and passengers.

In the main building of the bus station, the following are located:

- bus station administration;

- dispatch office;

- ticket sales and luggage payment counters;

- waiting room for passengers (ticket hall);

- information service;

- mother and child room;

- luggage storage;

- office for pre-trip and inter-trip medical examinations of drivers;

- café;

- kiosk;

- Demir Bank ATM;

- hairdresser;

- shops;

- restroom.

In the technological zone for transport and passengers, the following are located:

- platform for boarding passengers with 22 boarding platforms;

- platform for disembarking passengers;

- turnaround area and bus parking;

- inspection pit for conducting pre-trip technical inspections of vehicles;

2. The following services are provided at the bus station:

- current and advance ticket sales;

- information bureau;

- ticket reservations by phone;

- mother and child room;

- luggage storage;

- other services.

3. Ticket sales.

Current and advance ticket sales.

Current and advance ticket sales for travel and luggage transportation on international, intercity, and suburban routes are carried out by all ticket counters at the bus station for all directions.

Ticket sales may be refused if the capacity provided by the design of the vehicle is exceeded or if transportation is only carried out with a seat provided in case there are no free seats available.

Ticket sales stop 5-10 minutes before the bus departs.

Advance sales are conducted 5 days before the bus departs on intercity routes and 20 days before the bus departs on international routes according to the approved schedule. A commission fee is charged for advance ticket sales.

The cost of travel (tariff) is set by the carrier, agreed with the State Department for Antimonopoly Policy at the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

4. Ticket refund rules.

A passenger has the right to refuse to travel on international, intercity, and suburban bus routes, and the cost of the ticket and luggage will be refunded before the bus departs, including the commission and insurance fees in the following cases:

if the bus is delayed or the departure is delayed by more than 1 hour as per the schedule;
if a passenger is provided a seat in a general type bus instead of a bus with soft reclining seats for which the ticket was sold;
if a passenger is not provided the seat specified in the ticket;
in all other cases of failed transportation due to the fault of the "Carrier".

5. A passenger on an intercity route has the right to:

- In case of delay in boarding the bus for up to three days, renew the ticket for another route upon payment of an additional fee of 25% of the travel cost, or receive a refund for the travel cost and luggage transportation, minus 25% of their cost;

- In case of returning the ticket to the counter two hours before the bus departs, receive a refund for the travel cost and luggage transportation, minus the commission fee;

- In case of returning the ticket later than two hours before the vehicle departs, receive a refund for the travel cost and luggage transportation, minus 15% of their cost and the commission fee;

- In case of inability to continue transporting the passenger to their destination for reasons beyond the carrier's control, receive a refund for the travel cost and luggage transportation proportionate to the distance not traveled;

- Return the ticket to the counter before the vehicle departs and receive a full refund for the travel cost and luggage transportation in the following cases:

a) cancellation of the vehicle's departure;

b) delay of the vehicle's departure by more than one hour;

c) providing a passenger with a seat in a vehicle with a lower fare than that of the vehicle for which the passenger was sold a ticket;

d) not providing the passenger with the seat specified in the ticket;

- If agreeing to travel on a bus with a lower fare, receive the difference between the paid amount and the fare due for travel and luggage transportation;

- If a bus is provided with a higher fare than that specified in the schedule, travel and transport luggage without additional payment.

6. Rules for boarding passengers onto the bus.

6.1 Boarding passengers onto buses is carried out at boarding platforms equipped with route number signs, based on previously purchased tickets.

6.2 Passengers are informed about the start of boarding through the loudspeaker system.

6.3 Boarding of buses begins 10 minutes before the bus departs.

6.4 During boarding, control is carried out to ensure that passengers have correctly paid for travel and luggage transportation.

7. Rules for using the information bureau services.

7.1 The information bureau operates from 07:00 to 19:00.

7.2 The information bureau provides free services for providing information about the operation of the bus station, as well as about the routes departing from the bus station.

7.3 The information bureau provides the following paid services:

- written inquiries about travel costs,

- printing of bus schedules.

8. Rules for payment of travel, luggage transportation, and hand luggage.

Passengers are required to pay for travel at the bus station counters. The ticket serves as confirmation of payment for travel (contract for passenger transportation). Persons without tickets are not allowed to board.
Persons with dirty clothing, or clothing that may soil other passengers or the bus seats, as well as those in a state of alcohol or drug intoxication, posing a threat to society and violating public order, are not allowed on the bus.

Passengers are allowed to carry with them:
- for a fee in the bus's luggage compartment, with a total length, width, and height not exceeding 180 cm.
- free hand luggage not exceeding one piece, with a total length, width, and height not exceeding 120 cm, one pair of skis in a case, children's sleds, and a stroller.

Ensuring the integrity and safety of hand luggage is the responsibility of the passenger.

The following items are not allowed for transportation as luggage or hand luggage: foul-smelling and flammable, explosive, toxic, and other dangerous substances, cold and firearms without cases and packaging, as well as items that may soil vehicles and passengers' clothing.

Loading and unloading luggage transported in the luggage compartments of vehicles is carried out by the passenger.
Claims arising from the transportation of passengers and luggage or the provision of vehicles for the transportation of passengers and luggage should be submitted to the carriers at their location. Claims arising during the servicing of passengers at the bus station should be submitted to the bus station administration or recorded in the complaint and suggestion book located with the senior cashier and in the dispatch office.

9. Rules for transporting children traveling with a passenger.

On intercity bus routes, a passenger is allowed to carry one child up to 5 years old inclusive for free without the right to occupy a separate seat. For the transportation of children under 5 years old with an adult passenger, a child ticket at 50% of the full ticket price must be purchased for each child, except for one, as well as for each child aged 5-10 years, with the right to occupy a separate seat.

On suburban bus routes, a passenger is allowed to carry one child up to 7 years old inclusive for free. For the transportation of several children under 7 years old with an adult passenger, a full fare is charged for each child, except for one, as well as for children over 7 years old.

10. Claims arising from the transportation of passengers and luggage or the provision of vehicles for the transportation of passengers and luggage should be submitted to the carriers at their location. Claims arising during the servicing of passengers at the bus station should be submitted to the bus station administration through the duty administrator or recorded in the complaint and suggestion book located with the senior cashier and in the dispatch office.

11. It is prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages, smoke, and litter in the bus station building. Passengers are required to maintain public order and be mutually polite and friendly.
