The base camp is always different and comes in two variants.
Stationary Trailers are set up on the site of the base camps, as opposed to mobile ones. Typically, they are equipped with regular beds, often have a small bathhouse, and they are equipped with portable generators for 220 volts, which are turned on during the hunter's stay in the camp. The trailers are heated by stoves. Less frequently, there are water heaters installed, but this is only in cases where there is a stationary power supply, which is rare.
Yurts are also quite commonly used as base camps. They are set up in cases where the distance from the camp with trailers to the actual hunting site is more than 20-30 km. Setting up a yurt allows for significantly increased comfort for living close to the animals. Yurts are placed on flat areas of land, and there are usually several of them. One contains the hunters and the guide, while the other houses the service staff. Sometimes there may be a third smaller yurt, which contains a bathhouse.
In the hunters' yurt, beds, a dining table, and lamps powered by a 220-volt generator are also installed. Here, you can charge camera and phone batteries. In the service staff's yurt, food is prepared during the day, and flatbreads are baked, while at night they sleep.
Yurts are heated by stoves, and the feature of a yurt is to retain heat even in the harshest frosts, so there is no risk of freezing even in severe winter.
Earth Shelters are equipped high in the mountains and are used for overnight stays during radial outings. Necessary supplies such as food, flour, water, canned goods, oil, firewood, and modest dishes are brought in during the fall. The earth shelter is furnished with sleeping platforms, so sleeping bags are brought along for convenience. Earth shelters are equipped with a stove, which is also brought in from the summer. The volume of the earth shelter is small, so it heats up very quickly. It can accommodate from 3 to 8 people, plus a table for dining.
