Kyrgyz Humor on the Show "Make the Comedian Laugh"
According to the rules of the game, if a participant or participants make comedians Vladimir Zelensky and Yevgeny Koshevoy laugh within the first minute, they will receive one thousand hryvnias (about 40 dollars). In the second minute, they can earn five thousand, the third minute is worth ten thousand hryvnias, in the fourth the amount reaches twenty thousand, and if they manage to make them laugh in the final, fifth minute, the total winnings will be fifty thousand hryvnias. If they fail to make them laugh in any minute, all previously accumulated amounts are lost.
From Kyrgyzstan, participants included Akim Karasaev, Ermek Talaybekov, Belek Turgunov, Eshimbekov Eldiyar, Kuatbek Ilgiz, Myktybek Mukayev, and Azimkhan Rakhato.
Akim Karasaev
The very first participant from Kyrgyzstan was Akim Karasaev back in 2015. He won 20 thousand hryvnias. By the way, Zelensky asked Karasaev how elections are held in Kyrgyzstan. He replied that it’s a struggle.
Ermek Talaybekov and Belek Turgunov
Ermek Talaybekov and Belek Turgunov participated in the program in 2017. They reached the third minute but were unable to make the comedians laugh and returned without winnings.
Eshimbekov Eldiyar and Kuatbek Ilgiz
These guys participated in the fifth episode of the 14th season in 2017. They reached the final and left with a prize of 50 thousand hryvnias.
Mykytbek Mukayev (Myky)
Stand-up comedian and host Myky also appeared on the show "Make the Comedian Laugh," but returned without a victory. Moreover, he was the first to use profanity in his joke on air. The host and comedians were shocked by his words.
Azimkhan Rakhato
Azimkhan Rakhato was the last to participate in "Make the Comedian Laugh." He joked for three minutes and also lost.
Azimkhan Rakhato gifted a Kyrgyz national headwear, the kalpak, to Zelensky and Koshevoy. The comedians did not take off the kalpaks until the end of his performance.
