This was reported by Daiyr Orunbekov, head of the president's information policy, through his Facebook page
According to him, in district No. 13, where serious violations were recorded, the results of the voting were completely annulled, and repeat elections were scheduled. The Central Election Commission (CEC) also decided that former candidates would not be allowed to participate in the new elections in this district.
Orunbekov added that the day after the elections, videos began to appear on social networks containing evidence of violations. One such video, filmed at polling station No. 5249 in district No. 8, caused significant public outcry, as it showed people distributing money in bundles.
“These facts provoked a strong discontent among citizens. The opinions expressed among the people questioned the integrity of the elections: ‘How can we talk about fair elections if votes were simply bought in bulk?’ As a result, the Territorial Election Commission decided to recognize the voting results at polling stations No. 5249 and No. 5514 in district No. 8 as invalid,” the post states.
In addition, based on the complaints received, the voting results at polling stations No. 7030, No. 7029, and No. 7028 in district No. 26 were annulled.
The voting results at polling stations No. 5039, No. 5050, No. 5054, No. 5577, No. 5040, No. 5041, and No. 5548 in district No. 9 were also canceled due to mass violations, vote buying, and coercion of voters.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, relevant materials have been registered regarding the violations, and work is currently underway within the framework of the law. In addition to the information presented online, law enforcement agencies have other materials obtained.
“Following the decision of the election commission, the annulment of results at several polling stations may affect the overall results of the elections. In such a situation, there may be attempts to politicize what is happening and manipulate the feelings of voters. However, it is important to note that no one will go unpunished for actions that violate the principles of fair elections. The authorities do not distinguish between ‘their own’ and ‘others’: if the law is violated, there will be consequences,” concluded the head of the president's information policy.
