The artist programmatically depicts not only the architectural masterpieces of antiquity but also ordinary cult and civil buildings. The sheets of the cycle are characterized by a combination of documentary accuracy, portrait-like representation of architecture, conveying the overall state of the southern nature with its sunlight and richness of color, as well as the artist's special lyrical mood.
